By using festcountdown.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. They apply to everyone who visits, whether or not you interact with the countdowns or calculators.
What This Site Provides
festcountdown is a free informational tool. It publishes festival dates, live countdowns, and auspicious-timing (muhurat and Choghadiya) calculations, along with explanatory articles, wishes and gift suggestions. Everything is provided as-is, for general reference. There is no account, no subscription, and no paid tier — and correspondingly, no service-level guarantee that the site will be available or uninterrupted.
Accuracy of Dates and Timings
This is the most important section on this page, so it's written plainly rather than in legalese. We work hard to get dates and timings right: festival dates are verified against Drik Ganit panchang sources rather than carried forward from previous years, sunrise and sunset are computed with the NOAA solar algorithm for the city you select, and our Choghadiya and Pradosh Kaal calculations are covered by automated tests that check our output against published panchang tables for multiple cities and dates.
Even so, these timings are a reference, not a religious authority. Panchang traditions genuinely differ — Purnimanta and Amanta reckonings, regional customs, and different calculation methods can place a festival or a muhurat window on a different day or at a different minute. Some windows, such as lagna-based muhurat, cannot be reliably computed per city and are published as New Delhi reference figures, which we state on the page itself. For anything where the exact timing matters to you religiously, please confirm with your family priest or a local panchang. We accept no liability for observances performed on the basis of timings shown here.

Please don't republish our articles wholesale, scrape the site, or resell our images. Festival names and religious concepts described here are of course not owned by anyone.

To the extent permitted by law, festcountdown is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site — including any decision made on the basis of a date, timing, or piece of information published here. The site is offered free of charge and used at your own discretion.
Changes to the Site and These Terms
We may add, change or remove pages, tools and festivals at any time — content is updated each year as dates move. If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute relating to them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts there.
